"Just in time" significa "em tempo" ou "em cima da hora", "no limite do tempo"

"In the nick of time" tem o mesmo significado porém é utilizado na Inglaterra.

•  Madalena gave birth to a baby girl yesterday, you don't imagine how suddenly it happened! We took the car and drove directly to the hospital.
• Madalena deu a luz à uma garotinha ontem, você não pode imaginar o quão repentino isso aconteceu! Nós pegamos o carro e corremos direto para o hospital!

•  I thought she was going to have her baby in the next three weeks. It was a surprise for me too.
• Eu achei que ela fosse ter o bebê nas próximas três semanas. Isso foi uma surpresa para mim também.

• I agree, It was very early, they got to the hospital just in the nick of time, if they don't arrive in time I didn't know what to do.
• Eu concordo, isso foi muito cedo, eles chegaram ao hospital na hora exata, se eles não chegassem em tempo eu não saberia o que fazer.

• Barbara and I were on our way to see a great concert. But I  left my own mobile in the office, so we had to go back there and get it.
• Barbara e eu estavamos no caminho para assistirmos à um ótimo concerto. Mas eu deixei o meu próprio celular no escritório, então nós tivemos que voltar lá e pegá-lo.

• That was a huge mistake. Did you miss the show?
• Isso foi um grande vacilo. Vocês perderam o show?

• Thankfully not, we got there just in the nick of time.
• Felizmente não, nós chegamos lá em cima da hora.

• Did they let you come in?
• Eles os deixaram entrar?

• A few minutes later and we couldn't come in, you know, they close the entrance.
• Alguns minutos depois e nós não entraríamos, você sabe, eles fecham a entrada.
